Since April of 2000, Brian has conducted thousands of conversations with individual clients, helping them navigate some of the most turbulent financial times in modern history. Brian helps individual clients maximize their retirement lifestyle by specializing in income planning, portfolio management, tax efficient investing, Social Security claiming strategies and IRA distribution planning. Brian also advises clients in cash flow management, general tax planning, review of wills and estate planning objectives and insurance needs analysis.
Brian gained experience in institutional and high net worth investment management at Merrill Lynch, working as an Associate Vice President and a PIA Portfolio Manager. Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Georgia, and his MBA from Mercer University where he spent a semester studying in Hong Kong. Most recently, he graduated from the College for Financial Planning and holds the professional designation of Certified Financial Planner™.
Brian is an advocate of microlending and fair access to capital amongst the worlds’ working poor. In 2009, Brian travelled to Chennai, India, where he helped provide medical relief to victims of bonded labor and visited local microfinance institutions. Brian’s goal is to merge his international experience, financial expertise, & love of missions by expanding the reach of microfinance. Brian has also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at Andrew College.
Outside the Office
Brian and his wife, Laura, live on Lake Oconee in Greensboro, GA. They have three girls who attend Lake Oconee Academy, a public charter school and recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award. His family attends Lakepoint Community Church in Greensboro, GA.
