John P. Hammack

John started his financial career in 1989 at Commodities Corporation, a Princeton hedge fund later bought by Goldman Sachs. He started as the overnight economist but eventually managed the European Foreign Exchange trading desk. John then successfully ran overnight futures trading at Refco Inc, and then the Managed Futures desk at Solomon Smith Barney/CitiGroup. In 2004, John joined Bear Stearns to start a commodity trading desk, He transitioned to the Equity Derivatives desk of JP Morgan in 2008. John joins us from Merrill Lynch Wealth Management (started in 2011). He uses his wealth of diversified Wall Street experience to help clients achieve a competitive advantage in their portfolios. He now caters to medical professionals, business owners, high-net-worth families, and executives. John holds a BBA in Economics from Northwood University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and an AA in Business Administration from The College of the Desert. In addition, he was a full scholarship recipient to the Ludwig von Mises Institute’s prestigious Summer Symposium on Austrian Economics and Marginalist Theory at Stanford University. John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. Therefore, in addition to traditional advice and guidance, he can offer his clients a full spectrum of wealth management strategies.

From 1983-1985 John served as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army. He is now an active member of Post 129 of the American Legion. John lives in Beachwood, New Jersey with his wife Deanna. They have four grown children.
